About the model
The photograph shows the standard Open-Up soft-link version. Its compact connection is intended for course racing, freeride and attachment to a rope without using a harness hook, in both summer and winter conditions.
A ceramic bearing allows the power lines to untwist automatically, while a lower plate protects against accidental opening. KiteLab states that the system is tensile-tested to 350 kg and tested to open under a 150 kg load. These are manufacturer test figures, not independent certification.
